Anne Malone

Anne’s passion for music has taken her on a journey of sound from the vibrant music of Dublin in Ireland to the tropical sounds of Vera Cruz in Mexico, from gigging at The Mean Fiddler in London to playing Hang on Skyros, she’s written music for the BBC, Theatre, yoga DVDs and audio books. Anne’s recent Hang music album, "Tender Lullaby" got into the top 10 iTunes and was nominated for an NME Award. Ever since Ann fell in love with the Hang she has been developing her unique style of playing which has been embraced by the Yoga community, a favourite with Shiva Rea, Jai Uttal and Claire Missingham. Her love of music and meditation has lead her to learn and work with many wonderful teachers ... Brandon Bays, Chris James and Annie Spencer, and by combining her training in Sacred Sound, The Journey and Shamanic Ceremony ... Anne now feels grounded and balanced in her music. This is reflected in the variety and focus of her recordings … “Human Nature”, “Urban Celt” and “Spirit of Peace” draw on her love of pop songs, with their condensed message and catchy hooks … her celtic roots journey deep in the mystical and spiritual nature of “Gra mo Chroi”, “Mahaday”, “Heavens” and “Iosa Chrois” … her passion for Sacred Sound resonates throughout “Chanting Om” and finally, her most recent musical love encounter with the exquisite Hang, has tapped into the gentle, tender touch of “Mothership of Soundscape”, “Tender Lullaby” and the many “Sound Bath” recordings with Hang, Tibetan Bowls, Rainstick and vocal toning.

When Anne isn’t in the studio recording, she’s out in the community offering workshops, concerts, Sound n Motion and Choir sessions, or playing music at Yoga Centres and Retreats all over London and beyond!!!
